Quick Bible References to Heal Your Heart and Soul In Your Time of Grief and Sorrow
By D Spindler
Have you lost a loved one recently, your job, or having difficult time with a situation and not sure who can help? God can! I have put together some Bible verses that have helped people around the world for hundreds of years. They have stood the test of time...from my heart to yours.
God is watching over us and talks to us through the Bible. When we suffer a loss it can turn our lives upside down and inside out. I know I recently lost a loved one who was very close to me. Sometimes it can leave us feeling alone, confused, angry, frustrated, depressed, sad, or hurt...I could go on and on. The one thing I do know is that it is mentioned so many times in the Bible to have "faith" in Him. Believe that the tough times, the ones that knock you down, will pass and the sun will rise again to do away with the darkness. I hope the following Bible verses help heal your heart and soul the way they have helped so many others including myself.
Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff they comfort me.
Psalm 62:7
In God is my salvation an my glory; the rock of strength, and my refuge, is in God.
Psalm 73:26
My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
Romans 8:38-39
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come. nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to seperate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 15:4
For whatever things were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
Jeremiah 17:7
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord.
